A Awesome Day for me!!!
Today is 21st Jan 2006. Well you can say it is 22nd of Jan since it is already past 12midnight. But why am i not sleeping yet? This is becos i have such a great and fun day that i can't get to sleep and so with my trusty coke and computer and along with my sweet and soothing music, i'm here to share about my wonderful day events.
Early in the morning, I was awaken up by the loud barking of my cute and dumb dog Ocsar boy as well by the calling of my dear awesome brother Jerry who called to remind me of the meeting that we are supposed to have with Fang Jing at Khatib Mac. Reluctant as i am, i slowly crawled out of my bed and went to wash up so that i won't be late for my meeting with Jerry and Fang Jing. But before i can get out of my house, i got some nagging from my mum who made me eat some bread that she bought for me before i go out.-.-" On the way to MRT, i did a short prayer walk thanking God for all the small little blessing sthat He have graciously given me as well as thanking Him for the interview that i had yesterday. Anyway the interview is finally over and i'm fired up about that and i do hope that i can get a job with Raffles Hospital. Anyway i dislike interviews alot since it always give me alot of pressure and stress. -.-" But nonetheless, it is awesome to pray to God in the morning. Amen.
The meeting with Jerry and Fang Jing was great and we had a good time discussing about things. Jerry even gave me a idea regarding setting up a Dota Mission grp since so many christians play Dota on Sun. This idea sounds good to me and I think i will go and talk to Andrew and some other bros and see what we can do about it. But anyway me and Jerry and Fang Jing parted ways soon at 12pm cos both of them are going to sentosa for underwater diving and since i'm not going for diving, i decided to head back home and take a short break and relax for awhile. Haha.
I got back home around 12pm+. I was hungry but yet i do not have much appetite to eat. Don't ask me why cos i also don't know why too. Haha. But anyway after resting for awhile, i got bored and thinking of what i can do when i suddenely rememebered that Jeff had invited me to go to Penisular Plaza to play dota with him and his friends. I'm keen to play dota but i wasn't very keen to play with or against jeff and his friends cos how fun can it get from playing against newbies players like his friends. -.-" I can definetely win them if i wanna to. Am i getting too complacent here?? Lol.
So at the end, i decided to practice my guitar for awhile first before i leave for dota at Penisular Plaza. Lol. The first thing that i need to do is to get my guitar which is kinda of collecting dust at one corner of my room. Lol. It have been a long time since i touch a guitar and it feel kinda weird to play it again.Lol. I took the guitar and some of my score books out and started playing and struming some of my old favorite chinese songs. They are F4: "Liu Xing Yu and An Jing", "Qing Fei de yi", "Shi Jie Mo Ri" by Jay Chou. All these songs bring back alot of old memories when i strum n sing them and i still love them till now too. After playing chinese songs, i decided to play some church songs and the songs that i played was "I need your love", "Seek Ye First" and "Be with me, Lord". A pity, i don't have the capabilty to play some of the other songs that i love so much such as "The Law of the Lord", "A Stream in the Desert" and "Great Among the Nation". Well i guess i have to practice more guitar and play less dota ba. Lol.
Well anyway after practicing for 1hr+, my fingers start to feel the pain liao and so i decided to stop and head to Penisular Plaza liao. But i had a problem. I cannot decide what to wear for the date and so i rampaged through my wardrobe. At the end, I finally decided to wear 1of my favorite sets of clothes which i used to wear it for pubbing but not before i messed up my whole cupboard. I think my mum is gonna kill me for that. -.-!
And so i went out and went to took the train from Admiralty MRT. I was rather irritated for not being able to find a seat to sit down. The train ride from Admiralty to Cityhall is not exactly very short and having to stand all the way is not very appealing to me in any sense. -.-" But luckily, i have my trusty mp3player to accompany me so it is not so bad. Lol.
After a long stand in the train, i finally reached Cityhall at 3+ and i made my way to Penisular Plaza. Imagine my horror when i realise that Jeff and his friends have not even arrived yet. -.-" Well anyway Jeff and his friends arrived shortly but as there was no coms available, they have to wait. And by the time there is available coms, it is already 4.20pm+ and i decided to skip playing e game reason being that i don't find much fun to play 2v3 as i seriously doubt that anyone of them can win me. Lol. Anyway i also don't wanna play too since time is running short. But i was rather irritated with Jeff for arguing and bargaining with me about the time that he should end his game. -.-" Then 4.45 came and i went to nudge Jeff telling him tat he should stop his game. After a few nudges, that bugger finally managed to get his focus off dota and quit the game and went off with me to Raffles City for our main highlight of the day and that is our first date of the year. Lol.
We got to Raffles City and we proceeded to buy flowers for our date. I bought sunflower from my dear date Marilyn after getting a tipoff from one of my good friends who said that Marilyn likes sunflower. Haha. But imagine my horror when i realise that sunflower is actually such a big flower. -.-" But don't buy also buy liao so i decided to stick to the sunflower and hope that Marilyn will like the sunflower. Lol. Jeff got Victoria a lily because Victoria already stated very clearly that her favorite flower is lily in msn already liao. Clever sister, right? Lol.
Well 5.30pm seems like a long time but finally 5.30pm arrived and me and Jeff waited patiently for our dear sisters to arrive. Victoria was abit late but Marilyn is even later but i'm fine with it since awesome sisters are worth waiting for. Anyway i'm also pretty used to waiting to people too.Ahem Jeff, you know who i'm referring to, right? Lol. And as time passed by, i was beginning to wonder if did Marilyn got e timing and venue right or not. But i was greatly delighted when i saw my beautiful date Marilyn strolling in elegantly through the glass doors of Raffles City.. Haha. And so finally all 4 of us arrived and we can finally set off to our next destination which is Great World City to meet up with the last couple on the date, Kelvin and Jay who is already waiting for us at Great World City. I actually wanted to take a cab to Great World City but the queue at the taxi stand was so horrendous that i decided to stick to the orginal plan of taking the free shuttle bus instead. Lol.
The bus ride to Great World City was short and sweet and we soon arrived at the beautiful and well-lited Great World City where we met up with Kelvin and Jay who was waiting at the mac for us. Imagine my amusement when Marilyn told me that today is the first time that she ever been to Great World City. But anyway who am i to laugh at her when i'm also not very familiar with Great World City myself. Haha. And imagine my amusement when Marilyn shared to me she will flipped out if brothers take her to Fast Food Restaurant for dates. Lol. Well lucky for her that her date today is not a fan of Fast Food Restaurants and neither is he a mutton eater fan too. Lol.
And so we all proceed to have our dinner. The place that i had choose is a awesome and nice japanese restaurant "Ichiban Boshi". The main reason for choosing that place is simply because all the 3 sister like japanese food especially Marilyn. Hee hee.. After Kelvin said grace and gave thanks for the food in chinese (Jeff, do u understand what Pang said during the saying of grace? lol..) , we started on our feasting. The food there was awesome and is simply delicious although the customer service there does need to improve though. I believe all of us had our fills. Haha. During the dinner,we had alot of jokes and as well as alot of free commentaries on the food by Victoria and Kelvin. And soon the topic being to revolve around "food" topic which kinda make me and Jeff abit out of place since both of us are not really into "food" topics alot but well i guess the "food" topic is still more interesting than "shopping" topic if the sisters went into it though and so i still thank my lucky stars that the ladies did not start on their "shopping" topic. Haha.
Well dinner ended at around 8+ which was later than i expected it to be. So the next program is to split up for fellowship. My intital plan is to go to a nearby park for fellowship but it was raining so i had to abandon the plan. Crap sia. But well at the end, we all decided to stay in "Coffee Bean" to fellowship and it turn out to be pretty good in the end. My fellowship with Marilyn is simply AWESOME and i really enjoyed talking to her and knowing more about her. Ok. We did talk abit about dota la but not much la. Haha. We also managed to settle some minor issues too which was great. I'm very inspired by her simplicity and her pure heartedness for God and people and I believe God will bless her for this. But all in all, this date have brought our friendship closer and I do hope that our friendship can grow deeper and better in time to come and i look forward to that.
But well times really flies when you are enjoying yourself and before i know it, it is already 10+. Oops. Then i realised that i actually forget to state the time to meet back. What a bad organiser I am. -.-" So i decided upon my ownself that it will be my responsibiliy to send the sisters back home and so i told Kelvin to send Jay back while i will send the rest back. But before we went back, we all took some wonderful photos which is posted below.

Well i also agree with that cos this set that i'm wearing is one of my favorite set and this is also the first time that i wore it out for a date. Haha. I think i should wear my pubbing clothes more often in future. Anyway i also don't wear them much nowadays since i don't go pub nowadays liao. Haha.
Well anyway after sending both Marilyn and Victoria back, it is finally time for me to make my way back home. I took the cab to Yew Tee MRT and i alighted to take a train back so as to save abit of $. I went back alone cos that bugger Jeff who was supposed to come my house overnight today decided to fly aeroplane on me. Grr.. Jeff, you better watch out.. Lol. But well anyway at least i have my mp3player to accompany me with my favorite songs and so it isn't too bad. Lol. When i finally alighted at Admiralty MRT, i slowly made my way back home while having a short prayer thanking my wonderful God for the great and encouraging day that He have given me today.
Finally i got back home. I'm very tired but i'm also very happy with the way things turned out to be too though i think the organising of the date could have been done better.. Well it will be better e next time. Learn through experience ma. Lol. I only hope Marilyn, u also enjoyed the date as much as i did too. But well anyway God have been encouraging to me today and i'm very grateful for it.
